Use of funds
We have begun the process to get registered as a Scottish charity. From 2007-2012, funding will be used for:
- Consultations
with communities and governments in West Africa, with support of
SEARNET, based at the World Agro-forestry Institute.
- Selection of exact locations for biggest effect, by regional modelling.
- Participative learning and action with local communities.
- Designs of four 400km2 rainwater harvesting zones ("cloud coaxing zones").
- Training of implementation teams and maintenance teams.
- Setting up monitoring and evaluation, so we can prove it's worked!
- Planning meetings eg for up-scaling and replication.
- Core admin (many projects fall done through poor admin)
- Funding physical implementation
